EYES ON THE LEGENDS OF LOG SERIES

Deep within the forest of the North Woods, the mighty ax-wielding wooden giant, known as Log, defends these woods from all who attack it but finds himself lost in who and what he really is. Follow his adventures in The Legends of Log.

The Legends of Log is a Fantasy Adventure comic book series for all ages. I first came across the first 2 issues on the Alterna Comics Winter 2022 pre-order crowdfunding campaign. The stories are printed in Black & White on traditional old newspaper-like material in floppy format.

As of date, the series has 4 published issues, with 4 story arcs each. Most of the issues contain 32 pages, except for Issue #3 with 24 pages. In each issue, you will find on the first page the “WHO IS WHO?” section giving the readers a short character guide of all characters appearing in the stories.

Legends of Log was first published by Alterna Comics in 2020. Alterna Comics was founded in 2006 by publisher Peter Simeti and has gone on to help produce over 100 titles since then. Alterna Comics titles are distributed to readers and retailers worldwide from their online store.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Legends of Log is an entertaining series for all ages. Kids in particular will enjoy it. The stories stimulate the imagination while also giving out a message, a moral to the story, and the character guide is very helpful to the structure of the series. The story arcs are short which reminds me a lot of the stories in the Archies and Jetta Rea’s Comics Digest editions. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a Comics Digest edition of Legends of Log with all the stories?

Having obtained the first 2 physical issues already, I bought the remaining issues at the Alterna Website. They also offer a complete set that includes the one-shot version of issue#1 and the blank variant cover of issue #1. The complete set of Legends of Log can be found at the  Alterna online store at a very affordable price.
